This455\'Haskell Classamphibious transportshipwas commissioned in 1944 and was decommissioned in 1970. A veteran of Okinawa and Korea she mainly servedout ofthe Pacific Coast between 1958 and 1965.During the Vietnam War she earnedsix VietnamCampaign Stars.The vessel also servedassupply ship for Riverine Boats. The ship was decommissioned in 1969 and the hull recycled for scrap metal in 1970.
