This will fit every Flathead Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth/Desoto/Fargo Flathead 6 Engine made from 1936-1959 in Windsor Ontario Canada. This is for the 25 1/2\" Canadian Big Block flathead 6. It is not for the smaller USA 23 1/2\" small block engine. The came as factory options starting in 1952 on 265 ci engines and then in 1953 on the 250 (or some call 251 or 252) ci Motors.

These became instant factory performance items and debuted early in 1952 in stock car and drag racing ! They were a very limited production item and a huge number were \"gobbled up\" from trucks for stock car, drag racing and other performance seekers.

You are buying just the intake which are the 1st 4 pictures of the black intake. The next pictures are for illustration purposes and are not part of this sale.

I included a copy of the Chrysler Factory Engineering Manual illustrating the Factory Dual intake and Dual Exhaust. The next picture is what the entire intake and dual exhaust looked like going on to a race engine back in the day. In fact that picture is of a complete setup often seen on stock cars in the 1950s. The next picture is a restored complete setup and you will notice for the trucks they put an equalizer tube and governors on them. When they were moved into the car world governors were not required and to fit under hoods off came the equalizer tube.

The last two pictures are a dealership poster from 1952. You will notice the v8 actually had less horsepower than the flathead 6 cylinder, which when that engine came out have more horsepower than any engine made in north America going into a car or truck.

* Condition issues: If you look closely at the complete setup (intake and dual exhaust) you will see that the intake in this action was ground down slightly. I am sure the factory cast iron headers where worn out. Beyond that issue which does not effect the intake, or mounting it to an engine, it is in excellent condition and is ready to put on an engine.

George Asche the famous Flathead Mopar race engine guru will sell you a set of headers made from stock exhaust for this intake for $200. I can provide you hand made stainless linkage for an additional $150 and can also provide you completely rebuilt carter ball and ball carbs (a matched pair) down by George Asche for $150 per carb.

You will notice the factory dual intakes are round inside with long runners. The aftermarket Fenton, Offy, Sharp and even Edmunds are \"square internally\" and do not perform as well as this one will.

You may see factory dual intakes for the 377-413 29\" engines, but you will likely never see one of these for the 25 1/2\" Flathead Six Series.

The last setup which is the intake/exhaust picture on the extreme right sold on for $5600. Yes that is how rare it is.
