How ever really this piece was not seen by the masses until licensed to LAX magazine to be used as the front cover of there 1990 April edition magazine.Here is where you first start seeing signs of the modern tiki movement first starting to work it\'s way into his already wildly bizarre conceptual illustrations.Before the \"Meat show\" and thebunny\'s and bees,thing, \"Wondertoonel\", The \"blood\" miniature paintingsMark was into for minute or two, and Ryden\'s admirablecalling for attention to forest conservation with his \"Tree,show\" and quite possibly even before we stared seeingMarks seemingly strong admirationfor President Lincoln making it\'s self be known by painting small sized portraitsof Lincoln\'svery characterizedfacial featured bearded face in just abouteverypiece Mark created for a very long time.By now this cross over illustration piece of Marks could be in one of the several bookspublished of his artwork. But to find the piece used by LAX mag cover in it\'s original printed format as a fine art reproduction printed on heavy weight art paper as part of a 12 image promotional portfolio never for sale,rather to be handed out to a select few entertainment companies,record label, movie executives, and there personalsome 27 years later is something of a rare find to be sure
