This sale is for the two-volume set of horizontal format books titled Union Pacific Railroad Passenger Cars by G. B. Davies. Volume 1 covers the 1950 to 1964 period, is 333 pages in length and was published by the author in 1976. Volume 2 covers the 1940 to 1949 period, is 228 pages in length and was published in 1977. Within these two books the author has assembled a vast amount of data and photographs covering every detail (inside and out) of every passenger car operated by the railroad during these two time frames.
These books are long out of print and hard to find – particularly in this condition. Both books have the same serial number -666- as shown on the title page. These books were published with card covers and assembled using plastic spines. To be conservative I have listed the books as “used”. However, as I have tried to show though the accompanying pictures, the books are both in excellent condition and show very little sign of their age. There are some very light \"foxing\" spots on the top edge of Book 2, but that is about it. The pages in both books are crisp and white with no discolorations.
The books have been kept in a glass-fronted bookcase in a smoke free home. They will be carefully packed in a larger cardboard box, and protected with bubblewrap and/or Styrofoam “popcorn” as necessary to protect them. The books will be shipped by Media Mail and if not satisfied for any reason, it may be returned at the buyer\'s expense within 14 days. The purchaser will receive a full refund, less the original shipping charge, as long as the books are returned in the same condition in which they were shipped.
PayPal is the only accepted form of payment. I always ship promptly, and since payment is electronic I expect payment within three days of the sale\'s end.
