A unique example of native copper with tarnowitzite from Tsumeb!!! This specimen consists of an attractive, three-dimensional cluster of native copper crystals that host a significant showing of sharp, prismatic crystals of tarnowitzite!!! Upon close inspection, one can see that the copper is loaded with small but sharp, equant crystals of native copper!!! The tarnowitzite crystals are present as sharp, lustrous, prismatic crystals with marked translucence!!! The crystals could easily be mistaken for mimetite, however they are most certainly tarnowitzite!!! The copper is sculptural and significant in person!!! Way better than the pics show!!! This specimen is from the Humboldt University in Berlin and retains an old affixed label from Humboldt as well as old labels from the university as well!!! Unique material!!!
