This is a unique hand painted Greek icon of Saint Michael fighting with the devil painted in the traditional studio of iconography \'\'Meteoritikon\'\' in Metera, Greece.It is a true copy of an antique icon of the mid 19th century painted with great fidelity to the original.
The icon is painted according to the traditional byzantine technique on fir tree wood prepared with gesso with the technique of egg tempera in wich have been used true pigments as blue of lapis lazuli, green of malachite ecc. mixed with yolk egg and vinegar.
The halo of the Saint Michael is gilt with gold leaf 22 karats and at the end of the painting has been put varnish. The icons has certficate signed and sealed by the artist.
