Thisis a Sigma (Σ) Fraternity Key by LG Balfour.(This key is not marked LGB but I found a key with identical design marked LGB.)It tests a minimum of 10K gold but is not marked. The front has a paisley design. The reverse is inscribed Vermont 1951 Henry Gordon Ring. (Dr. Ring recently sold this key at his moving sale in Miami.) In 1951 the University of Vermont had four active \"Sigma\" fraternities (photos herein order); Sigma Alpha Epsilon founded 1929, Sigma Phi Epsilon founded 1951, Sigma Phi founded 1945 and Sigma Nu founded 1898. Weight is 2.3 grams.
