Basically NOS, unopened, most of wax seal still over and around cork (although somewhat brittle)- see all photos below - THANKS !!!

Liquid portion of contents have long since evaporated leaving a brown powdery substanceinside, but obviouslya never opened example.

IMPORTANT NOTE/DISCLAIMER as per rules:

This is an antique medicine bottle more than 100 years old, CONTENTS ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT FORconsumption as any idiot should realize however some of my listings continue to be ended prematurely for such stupidity !!! The age of this item is clearly an antique and would destroy its value if emptied.

Also NO RADIUM IS CONTAINED IN THIS PRODUCT, it was a quack medical scamfor capitalizing on the then thought to bemagical curative powers of radiation !!!

The bottle measures about 5-1/2 inches, 2 inches across.

Box is still pretty bright and the robin egg blue color is still strong. Some age toning to bottle label in spots around the edge, for the most part its 100% complete and in totally readable condition, colors still sharp and bright - its a nice clean example too.

Also - note this is the MUCH SCARCER and desirablecolor label variety - Over the years, I\'ve had 7 or 8 of the B/W labeled typesbut have only had one of these COOL LOOKING color label variants - check it out !!!

Complete with original graphical broadside, testimonial sheet, and directions.

Embossed vertically on the back in big bold letters is the wording RADIUM RADIA.

This quack medical product was produced by the Radium Radia Company of Los Angeles and New York. The company described Radium Radia as “The World’s Premier Conqueror of Pain.”

The remarkable effectiveness of Radium Radia is indicated by the illustration on the bottle: a before and after picture of an infirm gentleman, old before his years, who turns into a sprightly and dapper man about town.

The extravagant claims of this product are evident all over the label, box, and flyer/broadside/testomonials.

Early after the discovery of radioactivity it was thought that radiation had magical curative powers. Many products with the word radium in the name were produced after its discovery.

Advertisements for the company appear in 1905 and1906, so, the Pure Food and Drug Act most likely shut them down during 1906 or shortly after.

Great slogan on the bottle too- NEVER KNOWN TO FAIL, makes one wonder what was actually in it !!!

Two different versions of the bottle label were produced, one in B/W, and one in color such as found on this bottle - however, both used the same box, strange...

Really, its in pretty amazing and complete condition for an item of this type, which is now some 110 years old.

Just a great addition to any quack medical collection and is a beautiful example of medical quackery at its finest,these color label varieties are always a favorite among collectors and they just don\'t come up for sale that often.
