For Sale -Beautiful Vintage Alfred Dunhill Solid .925 Sterling Silver Propelling Pencil with a 9ct Gold Central Band. Pencil is fully hallmarked for Alfred Dunhill, Birmingham, 1969 and is quite unusual in that it has a pinstripe design top half with a silver wave design bottom half yet both hallmarks match up. Band has a worn .375 gold stamp and pocket clip has the lion pasant mark above the Dunhill name as shown. Possibly a salesmans marketing item?? Any info on this pencil from specialists/collectors would be appreciated. Pencil is fully operational, measures 12.2cm long x 7mm wide, weighs 16.1grams and is in excellent condition with just a few very minor age related surface scuffs as to be expected but nothing major. No monograms/blank clean cartouche. There was no Dunhill box for this so it will come in a brand new wooden, hand made, vintage style torpedo shaped desk pen/pencil box.
