This antiquethimble has a wide band embossed with floraldesigns and engraved with a little shore bird in the water, could be anegret or heron. Ittests solid sterling silver, though is not so marked. The size(9)is markedon the band. There is no personalization.

Thecondition is excellent, crisp and in round with no holes, dents orother damage. This thimble isshown onp. 44 (Fig. 39) of Gay Ann Rogers\' book AmericanSilver Thimbles.
