Item Description
Up for your consideration is a fine pair of signed French Polychrome Jardinieresbyk.g. luneville, early 20th century.The exteriors decorated with applied polychrome floral and vine motifs with gilt decorated rims.Height 10 3/4 x width 13 inches.
These are the only examples I have seen in this unique purple glaze. One of the jardinieres of signed by the maker on the underside.
Measurements
The pieces measure is 10.75\" tall, 13\" wide, and 13\" deep. They weigh about 8 lbs. each.
Condition Report
Overall, the jardinieres are in excellent condition, with a rich and even finish throughout. There is light wear to the gilt, and they are free of chips or cracks. The interior of one vase appears to have been reglazed, possibly after prior use. There is one flaw (possibly a restoration) to one raised decoration near the bottom of one piece (see last photo, it is the dark spot in the center).
There are no dents, dings, or losses. Condition Rating:
