LOOKS LIKE BELOW \"2ND\" THERE\'S \"SER ???? S.\" I CAN\'T MAKE IT OUT. I DON\'T KNOW WHEN THE 2ND WAS FORMED AND DISBANDED. I ASSUME \"IND\" IS INDIANA BUT NOT SURE. IF IT WAS A VOLUNTEER DIVISION I ASSUME IT WOULD READ \"VOL.\" SOMEONE TOLD ME THIS WAS USED FOR A HORSE....CALVARY?

a WW1 Squad Support Bag used by the 1917 Machine Gun Co.\'s in the US Army. This was to store the great coat\'s,feed bags,water buckets,horse blankets and anything else the troops wanted to keep clean and dry.
