For sale a pair of used John Lyon brand boot spurs. They are in very good condition as you can see and I am not sure of the age.

We bought these from man in a cowboy hat and boots who told us they were used for \"gentle horses\". I have never seen any like this only those with the little round spiked wheels that gouge a horse to inspire him to move. I like these because they seem less threatening and painful to the horse.

These were bought todisplay only as we are not cowboys or girls but love that rustic log cabin look associated with the cowboy theme. We use these items to display and accent ourhome.

I can only say the material they are made of is leather and some type of metal.There are no indications of a maker other than the John Lyons name embossed on the leather straps. The metal spurs are heavy and good quality.
