USGI WWII HOLSTER FOR S&W VICTORY/COLT COMMANDO 4\" REVOLVERS W/ LANYARD:

WWII vintage holster and lanyard for S&W Victory or Colt Commando 4\" revolvers. These were commonly issued to USN, USMC and USCG during the war, not so much the Army. Both are in remarkably good condition for being over 75 years old.
The holster is unmarked as most were but I think it was made by the Brauer Brothers Co. of ST Louis, MO because of the tan colored staples used at both ends of the stitching.
The lanyard is a Hickok and is date stamped either 1942 or 1943. These were made for the 1911A1 pistol but commonly used with the Victory revolver.
The revolver is for display only and is not included.
