The POD experimented with several different types of \"tagging\"...BAR tagging, luminescent PAPER, and luminescent INK. UX48a was their experiment with INK. NO \"bar\"...like the U550a and 553a...just a light pink ink which glowed under ultraviolet light. This card was released without ceremony or FDOI cancel on July 6, 1966 at the Philatelic Agency, Washington. Catalog Value (in the 2005 Scott/Mellone FDC Catalog) is $2.50!
Depending on what I have in stock, you may receive either a machine or a hand cancel.

If youbuy several lots, please load up the Shopping Cart and pay ONCE, when you\'re finished ordering. Don\'t pay after each lot. The BONUS PROGRAMS (See the white box below) I offercan interfere with the shipping charges and you might get a postage bill which is too high. Don\'t worry about that; when I fill your order I\'ll adjust your bill and refund any excess postage you paid.

I’m a dinosaur on the internet, making my customers happy the old-fashioned way, just as I\'ve done thru the mail since 1971.

SATISFACTION is ALWAYS GUARANTEED! As an ASDA member I stand behind what I sell. Any item I fail to properly describe may be returned within 7 days for a full refund, plus shipping costs.
N.Y. STATE residents must pay the Sales Tax of the County in which they live.
OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS, pleasedon\'t ask me to misrepresent the value of your order so you can avoid import fees or the V.A.T..

ALL \"FLAT\" SHIPMENTS - Stamps, Postal Stationery, Postal History and First Dav Covers - will be shipped in a Calumet hard cardboard mailer. (See the scan at the right.) This mailer offers far greater protection than bubble wrap, but it\'s heavier and will cost more to ship. Clear plastic tape will be placed over your Address Label to prevent damage or alteration.

There is a small handling charge, for (very secure!) packaging and preparation, also included. When you receive the first of whatI hope will be manyorders, you\'ll understand.

Because I care about how securely I pack & ship, you may find my shipping charges a bit high for some inexpensive items. However, if you buy several lots, the shipping chargeswill be reduced.See the LARGE WHITE BOX abovefor my BONUS PROGRAMwhich includes moreinfo about reduced shipping charges.

U.S. SHIPPING CHARGES for this item are $2.50 for USPS First Class Mail. Insurance is FREE.
ITEMS and TOTAL SHIPMENTS under $50 will be shipped with PRIVATE INSURANCE, not USPS. The package won\'t carry any \"Insured\" markings because USPS regulations prohibit such private markings.
ITEMS and TOTAL SHIPMENTS over $50 will be shipped with USPSINSURANCE, at no extra charge, and will be so marked.

WORLDWIDE SHIPPING CHARGESfor this item are roughly:
$3.00 for 1st Class International Mail to Canada
$3.50 for 1st Class International Mail to Mexico
$4.50 for 1st Class International Mail to the rest of the world.

Insurance is usually not available. Registered mail is always available, and is strongly suggested for more valuable shipments, items which can\'t be replaced, and some countries which don\'t handle mail very well.

A FINAL WORD - ABOUT MY SCANS: What you get will be BETTER than what you see! Computer scans often show darker or lighter areas which aren\'t on the actual item, and the larger the object to be scanned, the more areas will be affected. Plus, I scan using a \"cover sheet\" to hold the item in place, and the plastic cover can creates glare. And, I often use shortcuts because I just don\'t have the time to scan every item I sell; I sometimes have to recycle an old scan to illustrate a new item.

ALWAYS GO WITH THE DESCRIPTION! Your item may look a LITTLE different from the scan, but it will match the description 100%.....and it will ALWAYS be a top-quality item. My response on speaks for itself.
