This a very nice signed copy of the 1st edition first printing from 1958, with bright clean pages and good points on the pale blue boards. You can just make out a few faint fox marks on the front board which might be visible in the photo.
The book is profusely illustrated, much of it in colour.The dustwrapper is bright and good, with mild edge wear anf a couple cracks/chips which are seen in the photos.
Also included is a rare piece of ephemera, a gilt edged invitation to a dance to raise funds for the expedition, held at Auchenlarich in 1957.
A desirable and collectable book with a low starting price!
