Listed this week is a Huge Collection ofGlass. There is some amazing examplesall being offered with s ! The Glass itemsinclude pieces from the Georgian Period, Victorian Period, Art Nouveau and Art Deco Periodsplus 20th Century Stemware. This saleis fora Gorgeous c1860 Victorian Mother of Pearl inlaid Laquer on wood Tantalus complete with all of the original contents. The Decanters and Glasses are amongst the finest quality I have ever seen and even though unsigned I am almost positive they are Baccarat. The Decanters and Glasses feature amazing Victorian Period Cut designs throughout which are richly Gold Gilded and far nicer than my photos show. The Tantalus Case is also top quality with amazing inlaid Brass and Mother of Pearl designs throughout and the interior Tray had a richly Gold Gilded Brass handle. The Service is in truly amazing condition for the age, I have never actually had the pleasure to sell a Tantalus of this age that was not missing any pieces. This beauty is complete in every way, all four Bottles, all 16 Glasses and all four Stoppers are completely original and have no damage with some minor wear butno largechipsand nocracks or repairs of any kind. The Case itself is also in very good condition with some of the Brass inlay a little loose and could easily be glued back down, there is no inlay missing which again is truly amazing. The Tantalus displays beautifully with the Case measuring 10-3/4\" tall by 13\" wide by 9-1/2\" deep, the Decanters measuring 8\" tall by 3\" wide across the bodies and the Glasses measuring 3-1/8\" tall by 1-3/4\" wide across the tops. This is sure to be the Star piece in any room or collection and I doubt you will find another Victorian Tantalus of this age, quality and amazing condition up for sale, especially selling with !
