This is a VERYnice ALL ORIGINAL Lionel O gauge 6413 MERCURY PROJECT CAPE CANAVERALflat car.
A great piece for anycollection! Especially those who collect space and military items!
Original capsules, white elastic wire bands and metal bar.
Capsules are embossed \"1\" and \"2.\"
Produced in 1962 and 1963.
Nothing broken anywhere.
Brake wheel holes are intact -neverdamaged.
These cars never had brake wheels installed - they kept breaking off of other similar cars so theywere eliminated on this one.
Please refer to pictures for best representation of condition. What you see is the item you get, no more and no less. Please ask questions if you are not sure of anything you see or read.
Blue plastic car body has a few scuffs and wear from age that may polish right out.
This is the more common light blue version, not the aquamarine one.
Metal plates that hold capsules show some pitting - but no rust.
Rivet heads holding on the trucks shows light rust - but it is down inside the holes.
Could use a detailed cleaning.
Plastic AAR-type trucks with good working knuckle couplers.
Not a real common space-age car that came in some great postwar sets that are popular with collectors and operators.
