VERY NICE FRENCH NAPOLEONIC OFFICER SWORD LATE 18TH / EARLY 19TH C:
$875.00

Dating from the French Napoleonic Consulat Era, this is a nice example of a French Infantry Officer Sword. This particular one is mounted with a beautiful straight blade that measures 32 1/4 inches in length. The blade has survived in very nice original condition with just a little light staining and with all of the gorgeous bright blue and gold still present. The \"à l\'Anglaise\" style hilt is mounted with a wonderful fluted carved ebony hilt that also remains very healthy and tight in its condition. The beaded stirrup guard is brass and wears a simple designed pommel and crossguard. Overall measuring 38 1/8 inches in length. The scabbard has been lost along the way.
