Astatic designed this Ultra-Cardioid High Impedance Dynamic Microphone for use with the T-UG9 Amplified Base with Locking Grip-to-Talk & Press-to-Talk Bar. The circa 1975 Astatic catalog describes the Model 811 as \"an ideal top-quality paging and communications microphone with frequency response tailored for faithful voice and music reproduction\".
Frequency Response: 40 to 15,000 Hz. Output: -50 dB referenced to 1 volt/microbar. Front-to-Back Ratio: 25 dB. Impedance: 40,000 ohms. Outstanding specifications. Certainly one of Astatic\'s best microphones. Full, rich dynamic sound.
Tilting head. Chrome finish. Coiled cord with 8-pin connector for transceivers. The 811 mic head can be connected to any Astatic base with 3-pin receptacle.This mic is one of my favorites for ham radio use.
