WELCOME and thanks for stopping by. I apologize for the late listing and also for the short description,...... but that\'s pretty much allthat is needed here.........VERY rare and also very nearMINT! I urge you to please examine all the photos carefully and know thatonly the mossy olive green snuff with the sand pontil is what you\'re offerding on. Any other bottles shown are only for size and/or color comparison and are not included in this listing.A side note about that pontil scar though; It\'s very light with 3 raised dots in a row; and I\'m not sure how well you\'re able to see it in the 2 photos showing the base, butit\'s definitely there. Please keep in mind that there\'s NO damage and only a light bit of wear and that\'s mostly confined to just one panel. This snuff dates to somewhere around 1840 - 1860 andmeasures 7 5/8 inches in height, it\'s rectangular in shape and has wide chamfered corners approximately 5/8 of an inch.Italso has a very nice texture with the vertical rib pattern and it\'s in original condition. Never dug and/or cleaned/tumbled. If any of you own the book, ANTIQUE GLASS BOTTLES - THEIR HISTORYAND EVOLUTION (1500-1850) by Willie Van den Bossche, you can reference this piece by checking out plate 287 #1.
