ITEM DESCRIPTION

This sale is for a very rare antique transfer printed pottery mug.

For overall restoration.

Dating to around the mid 19thC.

Decorated in a mauve print with a steam train pulling carriages and an early automobile at the back.

Measures 8.5cm tall.

As you can see in the images there is crazing, some minor glaze wear and loss to the foot. I have heard the stained crazing can be soaked out (?) and of course the rest can be repaired.

In good condition these rare mugs are now several hundred pounds.
