A chest of this quality and condition does not come along very often. It was made in Shanghai, China from a company called Majestic. The chest is made of Teak and Camphor wood. If you look closely on the last picture you will notice a very small claw marking that resembles the mark in the lock. Speaking of the lock, you will notice the name of the company on the lock and on the other side a carving of a dragon. The smell of the chest is fantastic. I have smelt Camphor wood before but this one smells very very heavy! As you will also notice there are burls all over the outside of the chest. The quality of wood choice and the detailed carving is unlike any Chinese chest I have ever seen. You can search google images and still you will not see a chest thisexquisite.
