Description RARE HTF Vintage 1950s German BILD LILLI 11 1/2\" Doll in Clear Tube StandPLEASE NOTE: THIS PACKAGE WILL REQUIRE AN ADULT RESTRICTED SIGNATURE (THIS MEANS THAT ONLY THE PURCHASER CAN SIGN FOR THE PACKAGE) THIS SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION IS THE ONLY SIGNATURE THAT WILL BE ACCEPTED BEFORE POSTMAN WILL LEAVE PACKAGE!Lilli was first sold in Germany in 1955 and was only produced until 1964 when Mattel bought out the copyright to make room for Mattel’s Barbie. This EXTREMELY RARE doll comes with her ORIGINAL Clear Oval Tube, round stand with “Bild-Lilli” on the sides, doll is unmarked. The stand has a metal prong so that when one of the doll feet/shoes can slide down over to keep her standing inside the tube. She comes with the original miniature copy of the Hamburg newspaper Bild-Zeitung.Lilli was produced in several sizes: 7 1/2 to 8\" or 11 1/2\" tall. This particular doll stands 11 ½” Tall. Her shoes and earrings are molded on; she has a painted face with side glancing eyes, narrow eyebrows, red lips and red fingernails. THE OUTFIT THAT SHE IS WEARING, I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS WAS ORIGINAL TO THIS DOLL. Her blonde hair is a cut-out scalp that is attached by a hidden metal screw that was not meant to be played with and is in split curl bangs and a ponytail (Note: this was intended for adult males as a party or gag gift). Previous owner stated that her father was stationed overseas in Germany in the 1950s and brought this doll home with him. She said that doll remained in her display tube and was NEVER PLAYED WITH! Doll in her display tube & stand measures 14\" Tall x 3 3/4\" in diameter.Condition Notes:Lilli shows VERY LITTLE WEAR WITH AGE. She does have some BLACK MARKS ON ONE HIP, BLACK MARKS ON HER ANKLES and A COUPLE OF INDENTATION MARKS ON EACH SIDE OF WAIST--see closeup pictures for details.Her hair is MINT CONDITION, but the black plastic bow has come BRITTLE WITH AGE AND PART OF IT HAS BROKEN OFF. Her face REMAINS GORGEOUS YET--check out close ups of her face! The Clear Tube HAS A LOT OF SURFACE SCRATCHES, SOME SLIGHT SMASHING AND IS DISCOLORED SOME WITH AGE. NOTE: THE BOTTOM PART OF THE TUBE IS CRACKED WHERE IT IS PLACED OVER THE STAND--again see pictures.The Plastic Stand has BLACK SCUFF MARKS LEFT FROM HER SHOES, AND THE LABEL AROUND THE BASE HAS MINOR NICKS AND DISCOLORATION AGE.The Original Miniature Newspaper is VERY DISCOLORED FROM AGE, but in relatively good shape for age!
