This one sheet poster was designed for the Oct. 1938 celebration of Navy Day. Original art was produced by Frank Ochs. Frank\'s painting, believed to be of the battleship U.S.S. Arizona, was used to produce this Navy Day poster that dates back to the production date of June 14, 1938. More about the artist can be found at frankochs.com . Navy Day posters are generally very rare (especially pre-war) unlike recruiting posters that were prodyuced in mass and were used for long periods of time. Navy Day they were published to promote a1 day event and then 99% of them were discarded. This is a great example of pre war art. it has been professionally mounted on linen and any imperfections have been I will accept a items return, no questions asked.
