I have for sale here an incredibly RARE opportunity that you won\'t find on very often and that\'s a genuine original work by= the incomparable CHARLES FAZZINO.
My mother was an artist, an instructor, a champion of young artists, a judge at juried art competitions and shows and an extraordinarily fine judge of talent,
She purchased this from an art show in 1972 and I do believe it to be one of Charles Fazzino\'s first commercial works.
It\'s very representative of the work that has made his works so very collectible and has put Charles Fazzino amongst the icons of American artists like Keith Herring, Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Little did my mother know how significant his works would become.
The piece is truly magnificent. I LOVE IT and had thought about keeping it. My mother is cleaning up a bit after the recent passing of my father.
It is framed and is under glass and depicts an underwater scene with fish eating fish, seahorses, angel fish, \"sword\" fish, octopus, snails and crabs. It is a blend of ink and watercolor. It\'s been in my family\'s possessions for 46 years and is in the same condition now as when it came home. PERFECT. I don\'t know what the work is on but I assume it to be on watercolor paper or small canvas.
It is signed CHARLIE FAZZINO \'72.
There are no condition issues to find with this piece. It\'s magnificent. I am a collector myself and have been for years. I do know that most artist\'s early work is not necessarily their most valuable as style hasn\'t exactly been established but works by Charlie Fazzino this early are extraordinarily rare. If you are here you do realize that Mr. Fazzino\'s works are extremely coveted with his originals selling for some NICE $$$. This piece including the gold leafed frame measures 5\" x 5\"This piece has been accepted by ART BROKERAGE and has their authentication.
