UNCLE SAM BUST (Not a Production Bank)

The \"Uncle Sam Bust\" is a problem for researchers. Charles Hotchkiss has been credited with the design and Ives, Blakeslee & Williams with the manufacture. However, there are questions about the actual production. The late Edwin Mosler said he had not seen a \"correct\" one. Several experts have examined examples of the bank and no one is ready to confirm any as an original. Several versions of the bank have been cast and all are equally collectible as \"creations\".

This bank being saleed matches the Davidson picture except the color is different. The book version is one color and mine is painted. I believe my version to be it\'s original paint. Just a few chips visible in the pictures otherwise a most excellent bank.
