Up for sale with is very handsome and top qualityDated 1891Victorian Period AmericanSterling Silver andCut Glass Inkwell or Ink Bottle. The Bottle exudes quality from top to bottom, featuring a very thick gauge Sterling Silver FloralRepousse decoratedhinged lid and a thick Crystal Clear Cut Glass Body. The Bottle itself features some of the finest Cut Glass Period designs I have seen and I was told that when the couple purchased it many years ago at an upscale Montreal Antiques Shop that the dealer guaranteed it was Baccarat. The Glass is unmarked but the quality certainly looks to be Baccarat to me as well. The Sterling top features a very fine and sturdy hinge and isoverall in excellent working order. The Lid has also never been Monogrammed which is a nice find.The Inkwell isquite alarge and impressive example for your desk or for display in a collection, measuring 4-3/4\" tall by 3-1/2\" wide.TheLid is fully marked Sterling Silverand for the very fine American Silversmiths Howard & Co. with a Date of 1891.I don\'t think you are likely to find another example like this up for sale, let alone with .
