This is for alovely example of a Victorian ladies stirrup cup. A stirrup cup was a portable cup that could be used outside for tking a little nip od something strong whilst out riding or hunting and this is a particularly pretty example of an early one.The top is ornately decorated with flowers and scrolls and when pulled off extends the concertina cup inside to its full size. The base of the cup is marked \'Patent applied for\' andit is in excellent condition with surface wear only.The basemeasures 52mm (2\") in diameter and the cupstands 55mm (2\") tall.
