Victorian Three Drawer Telescope with the makers name neatly engraved on the first drawer "Dollond London". I believe the main body is Black coloured wood and the end fittings are Gilt Brass. The first drawer has two lines around the cylinder and the second line has indications of a join. I am unsure if this is original or not. All of the drawers pull out smoothly and the telescope focusses well. The glass is free from chips cracks or scratches. The leather case is in good condition for its age and on the end of the cap is "G.S. 1849". The telescope measures 24cms long closed x 72.5cms extended and it weighs 555 grammes.This is a lovely Victorian Telescopetouse orto display in a fine collection.
