ThisMeriden B Company pickle castor is in very good condition. There are no breaks or bends on the metal base,no dents or dings on the tops of thelids, and thefinials are straight. I would have called it excellent, but there is some plate loss, theskirtsof the lids are a little out of round (softBritannia metal, so easily straightened), and the tongs are not original to the piece.Very nice floral scroll design around the jar holders, and the feet have great figuralfaces. I\'m not sure if the EAPG block/cube and daisypatternjars are original, but they fit in the bases perfectly, with the lids being a little loose.I thought the jars were in excellent condition, but it appears that the bottom of one was broken andrepaired. It does not show with the jar in the base.Impressed on the bottom is\'Meriden B. Company\', with thenumber \'6\', which puts it\'s origin from the mid to late 1800\'s. It measures 10\" tothe top of the handle, 6-7/8\" wide, and 4\" deepacross the feet. The jars are 4\" tall, 2-15/16\" across the rims, and 2-7/8\" across the bases.Please email for more pics or information.
