For your consideration today is a big, bold and beautiful 14k yellow gold Art Deco smokey quartz ring, by fine vintage jewelry manufacturers, Baden & Foss. It is signed with their hallmark B&F. This company is known for high quality gemstone jewelry, and this ring is no exception.

The mounting on this ring is a gorgeous crown style, with multople prongs rising from the gallery to secure the rich warm brown smokey quartz. The quartz measures 13.7 x 9 mm deep, which calculates to a little over 8 carats. It is in very good condition, with only the slightest bit of abrasion to the facets of the central table (not visible to the naked eye). The stone moves a bit when you shake the ring, which is due to a couple of the prongs needing to be tightened against it, with the proper jeweler\'s tool (a 1 minute fix!)

This is a nice-sized cocktail ring that is not so big as to be considered gaudy or cumbersome, but will definitely be noticed on your hand!

The face measures 3/4\" in diameter, and the head sits up 3/8\" off the hand. It is hallmarked 14K with the B&F mark, and weighs 6.2 grams. This ring is a size 5, and can be sized by any competent jeweler. It is in every good, pre-owned, vintage condition.
