For sale is a BEAUTIFUL heavily 18K gold plated, hand-painted in 24K yellow gold, white porcelain egg pendant, gifted to me by an uncle in the mid-1980\'s and NEVER WORN. The pendant has recently been examined by 2 separate jewelers, and the gold on the pendant and the bale have been tested as solid 18k, although there is no identifying stamp. Because of the lack of identifying stamp, and the style of the bale, it has come into question that this piece is not solid 18K, but very heavily plated. The jewelers were unwilling to damage the finish to dig deeper to find the base metal.

There is a twisted gold cord circling the outside of the egg, and a gold ball atop the egg below the bale. The white porcelain \"egg\" part of the pendant is hand-painted with gold flowers. The egg itself measures 1-1/4 inch without the bale and 1-3/4 inches with the bale in length, and 7/8 inch in width at the widest point of the egg. See photos for details. There are many pieces like this that were manufactured and sold by the Franklin Mint in the mid-1980\'s, and I am guessing that this is one of those, as well (especially since this was when it was gifted to me). However, I have no identifying packaging. GORGEOUS PIECE!
