Up for sale is a 1930\'sSILVERTONE CUBE WOOD TABLE RADIO MODEL #4421 in very good originalcondition. The cabinet of this radio shows normal signs of age and wear: lightsurface scratches, some flaking of the original finish (mainly around the bottomedge), some dinks and dents, etc...There is one area on the back right hand sidepanel that has a small sliver of veneer missing (see photo). The rest of it issolid including the grill bars. The grill cloth shows minor wear, but no holes,tears or rips. The plastic knobs are excellent and all turn freely. The plasticescutcheon, dial glass and pointer are also in excellent condition. The goldmetal dial has darkened with the passage of time, but is very easily read. Thechassis appears to be complete, but you are buying this electronically AS IS asI cannot test it due to the fact that it is a battery set. The cone of thespeaker, from what I can see of it without physically tearing this apart, has noholes, tears or rips, but has some crinkles. The original battery cord is tapedin one area and the outer cloth covering is worn. This set measures approx.14" wide, 9" deep and 12" tall. A nice looking cube radio!
