This vintage Goebel bust is of Queen Nefertiti This unique item is marked with the blue stylized bee mark. The mark is inside an impressed circle which was found on some TMK-2 marks. It appears that this mark was used in 1959 with the bee lowered in the V. In 1960 it is noted that the stylized bee was parallel with the tips of the V. It is model number FX 135/1. This bust is 5\" tall. It retains its paper label. The label contains the following information: Berlin W 15 Uhlandstr. 174 W.P. Muller, Ecke Kurfurstendamm Ruf 912777. The item is in like new condition and has beautiful colors. I am not an expert on Goebel items and have provided information to the best of my ability by looking this item up. Please do your own research before deciding to buy.Several ers have contacted me making suggestions about the age and markings on this bust with suggestions that it may have been made as early as 1957 to as late as 1970. Another suggested this is Goebel but not Hummel. It was also mentioned that it is very difficult to accurately date these items. This is a beautiful piece and it retains its paper label which provides additional information, but please use be aware that I have tried to describe it accurately but I do not know the exact date of manufacture.
