Today, I am listing several items with art by cartoonist, B. Kliban, best know for his whimsical cat illustrations. Check my other sales to see more \"Kliban Kats.\" Offered here is a diary. The cover reads: \"Diary...These secrets are protected by a fierce and ferocious cat!...Copyright B. Kliban.\" (The cat pictured on the cover is \"sleeping with one eye open.\") It is a one year diary, starting with \"January, 1\" and ending on \"December, 31.\" It is hardbound, and measures 5 & 3/4 inches tall by 4 & 1/4 inches wide. It has a metal lock on the side. The diary is UNUSED, with no writing inside. The original key is still inside a paper envelope, which is attached to the inside / back cover. On one of the the first pages, it is marked: \"INTERIOR CRAFTED IN JAPAN EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE C.R. GIBSON COMPANY, NORWALK, CONN., U.S.A.\" No date appears anywhere, (except for: \"19- - to 19 - -\") but this was made during the original \"Kliban Kat craze\" of the late 1970s & early 1980\'s. The condition is EXCELLENT to NEAR MINT. The INSIDE is like new, the exterior cover has a bit of minor soiling. This item is guaranteed to be old & original or your money back.
