What makes this guitar special: A rare model made only for a short period of time from \'80-\'82. Based on the \'59 Les Paul Standard, this gorgeous guitar shows off a stunning flame maple top, one-piece mahogany body & ebony fingerboard. A real gem & a definite must have for any serious player/collector.

Cosmetic Condition: There are various nicks, dents & dings throughout the guitar, mostly along the body edges. Some small finish chips & some light cracking in the bridge pickup bezel ring. The neck is very sound & there are no breaks or repairs. The guitar has been professionally set up by us with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!

Neck: Medium-profile mahogany neck with cream binding & black, micro side-dots. The neck is not super slender, nor is it very chunky either - sort of in between & typical of other Les Paul necks from the same period. Beautiful ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. The guitar has been refretted with bigger frets that are much more playable than the typical smaller frets of the period. The frets are in excellent condition with no wear. Original Grover Rotomatic tuners are in perfect working condition. Number 0195 is pressed into the back of the headstock below the serial number, indicating the production number. 1 11/16\" nut width; 24 3/4\" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in fine working condition.

Body: Solid, one-piece mahogany body with a flame maple top finished in a light Tobacco sunburst. The flame figuring in the top is absolutely gorgeous & really makes this guitar stand out. Stopbar tailpiece with Tune-O-Matic bridge & nickel hardware. Single-ply cream pickguard is in good condition with only a mild surface crack near the screw. An extra strap button was added to the body just below the neck heel. It matches the bottom strap button & both are unoriginal to the guitar. Guitar weighs 9 lbs 9.8 oz.

Pickups: Original Gibson humbuckers - both date to Aug 5, 1980. The original pickup covers were removed quite some time ago & the current neck pickup cover is a newer replacement. Bridge - 7.24K ohms; Neck - 7.35K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with original amber \"top hat\" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Original pots date to \'79 & \'80. All electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case: Original hardshell case included.
