******THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION, COPY, MADE IN SOME FOREIGN COUNTRY TO IMITATE THE REAL DEAL. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. I WORE THIS, BUT MOSTLY THE REASON I WORE THE CLOTHING WAS TO DEMONSTRATE WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE. NO ONE WILL EVER HAVE ONE LIKE THIS BECAUSE IT WAS MANUFACTURED IN THE 80\'S.
IT DOES HAVE SOME FADING IN IT, BUT IT WAS MANUFACTURED THAT WAY. IT HAS THE YEAR EMBEDDED IN THE SHIRT, ON THE BACK RIGHT NEXT TO THE WORD, \"SWELL\". THE AWESOME GRAPHICS ARE ON THE BACK OF THE SHIRT.
PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE DIMENSIONS LISTED ABOVE, BECAUSE THEY ARE EXACT.THE FOLLOWING WAS PUBLISHED IN THE LOS ANGELES TIMES IN 1989:Catchit Looks for New Wave - Surf-Wear Firm Moves From Tustin to Van NuysBy MARY ANN GALANTE, Times Staff Writer|April 05, 1989

Catchit--onceone of the hippest surf-wear companies on the West Coast--has moved itssurf trunks and body shorts to the San Fernando Valley.

The movefrom Tustin to Van Nuys this week was part of a shake-up by the VanNuys Surf Co., which became Catchit\'s sole owner last month when itbought out the 50% interest of Ian Foreman, founder and formerpresident.

\"We want to have our clothing on the masses, as opposedto the few,\" said Mitch Fine, president of the Van Nuys-based company.\"Catchit itself has a big name . . . and we want to merchandise to asmany folks as we can.\"

Fine hopes to start delivering Catchit\'sbody shorts, surf trunks and T-shirts to those retailers by the fall.

The sale of Catchit--whose worth was estimated by industry sources at$1 million--is the latest sign of a shakeout in the $1-billion surfwear industry. Sine late 1987, at least three one-time industry leadershave experienced financial troubles, including Maui & Sons and OffShore.

Surf wear--as opposed to swimwear--means the usuallysturdier trunks designed for surfing, as well as the casual wear thatgoes with the surfer look.

Catchit was founded about 8 yearsago by Foreman. A South African native and former distributor of rivalGotcha, Foreman was a self-described \"one-man band,\" who began bymanufacturing a line of five stretch trunks, two walk shorts and aT-shirt out of his beach house.

From an initial investment of$5,000 of his own money, Foreman\'s first season sales hit $250,000 in1980. Within 7 years, the company had expanded into sportswear for boysand toddlers and created Haute Rush, a juniors line aimed at beachbunnies. Later, it added SK8 (pronounced \"skate\") and Skatehardware toappeal to a new group of customers who ride skateboards instead ofwaves.

In an interview with The Times in early 1987, Foremanpredicted sales that year of $20 million. But at the same time,Catchit--along with 300 to 400 competitors--began struggling for ashare of the surf-wear market, which was no longer laid-back.
