Up for sale is a wonderful old vintage 1951 Crouse-Hinds Co. Airport Runway Light. Crouse-Hinds was located in Syracuse, N.Y. and were manufacturers of Airport lighting, Floodlights, Condulets and traffic signals. This is one of their larger Type HSL or Fixed-Focus Uni-Directional High Intensity Runway Lights. Has light lenses on both ends aswellas top of unit. Runway light is in good used condition with some normal age wear and oxidation. Has some oxidation on hinge screws and a few spots on surface of light body. Missing a small part of rubber grommet on one end of lens seal as shown in photo #6. Top glass beacon lens has small chip in collar but does not affect functionality in any way. Original taxi runway number is light visible on side. Light measures 17 in. long x (approx. 11 in. across x 20 in. tall (including top glass cone lens. Overall, just a super cool old vintage runway light. Will also send a photo copy of the orig.advertising brochurefor this exact unit. Have never opened it up to see whats inside.
