VINTAGE AMERICAN LOCK ENTRY MORTISE LOCK w/CYLINDER KEY 7 5/8 FACEPLATE (9501-4)

Vintage: Extremely well made, very heavy duty mortise lock with a push button lock by American Lock in Chicago.

Circa 1945-1955, heavy brass face plate: Front plate measures 7 5/8\" by 1\" wide. 1/8\" thick brass.

Box is 3 3/8\" deep from the back of the front plate and it is 5 1/2\" top to bottom. Screws are on 6 7/8\" centers. Step back from the front of the front plate to the center of the cylinder lock is 2 1/2\". This lock utilizes a standard 5/16\" knob post so you have very many options for knobs. A thumb turn knob is included for locking from the inside. Cylinder is clearly marked American Lock Co., Chicago, IL, comes with one key. The drop from the center of the lock cylinder opening to the center of the knob post hole is 3 5/8\". The lock is reversible.

Very clean inside and out, extremely well made, no rust, functions very well, with key!
