This bat is absolutely fantastic in my opinion. A Spalding, Case Hardened, Ball and Diamond model in wonderful condition. No cracks to the handle, what looks like may be a split in the barrel end but of no consequence, the very, very slightest beginnings of the grain of the barrel raising and with the Spalding trademark on its good knob. The trademark is well defined. This bat is 32 1/4\" and weighs in at 43 ounces. Not the heaviest bat I have but they don\'t come with this weight often. It\'s finish is smooth. Why there is a nail in the knob I do not know. It looks to have been driven in to hold something; i.e. a price tag maybe? I would expect it is more of a brad than a nail. I also cannot explain the black dots on they bat. They look to be precisely placed and must be a marker but they are fairly uniform and a bit fuzzy looking??? PayPal please. Shipping will be $16.50.
