A design that has been around forever and will probably be around forever is this classic riviere ~ you can wear it with a white shirt and with evening wear with equal effectiveness. The stones are beautiful sparkling old cuts in lovely colours of the rainbow, each claw set for safety. The centre of this example is set with five stones which are graduated in size and are of different colours. The larger stones are 8.5 mm and are also old cuts which are claw set.

The surprise is that the stones are all UV reactive. The green ones glow a bright green due to the presence of uranium and the others also glow due to the presence of cadmium and or Selenium. In fact one of those larger stones glows a bright orange under UV light. Sadly, my camera (both of them) do not show the separate colours so you will have to trust me on that one! However, to reassure you, if they were not UV reactive they would not glow at all under the UV light.

The necklace is articulated for perfect movement. 15. 5 inches long (exc the ring bolt clasp). This is a small size so please measure carefully before buying or consider using a necklace extension or adding a few jump rings (both available easily and reasonably on ). The gold finish has worn to an even silver tone on the back and looks quite nice actually ~ more in keeping with its age.

Any boxes, mannequins or fabrics are for display only. This item has not been made by Mappin & Webb. The box is a prop. everything is photographed in natural light with a flash. We do not enhance colours but there could be difference between browsers etc. If you need an item to be a specific colour please ask before offerding. Please do not get into a offerding war and then regret your purchase. We try to keep postage costs down, please do not be unfair in your star appraisal, we recycle wherever possible but even sellotape costs money.

Up to £50 thereafter we can either split and combine to another £50 or Special Delivery whichever works out better for you and we do post international but we will only send items Tracked. You are welcome to wait and shop for 2 weeks to make this a more affordable proposition. If you are interested in any items which do not currently have international shipping offered just let us know and we will change the settings. In the case of multiple purchases please wait for your invoice so we can charge you the correct postage.

We do accept returns for anything that we have not described correctly but in the case of change of mind we will not be able to refund the initial postage cost. We are human beings and on occasion will probably make a mistake but will do everything we can to resolve one if it happens.

A bit about me : i worked for many years in the Antiques Trade specialising first in antique clothing and Textiles and then i specialised in Art Deco and Art Nouveau, generally glass and sculpture and metal ware. i stood at many of the top fairs eg Olympia, Claridges, The Dorchester, The NEC and bought and sold in Sothebys, Christies and Bonhams. i appeared on TV a few times as an Expert, served on Vetting Committees and so on. i gave up the Material World for a number of years whilst i concentrated on Meditation, Healing and other Spiritual endeavours but am now selling on to pay the rent :-) i really do love the pieces that pass through my hands and i enjoy \'meeting\' people across the globe and feel good making them feel good. i try to follow the Reiki precepts ~ one of which is \'To earn an honest living\'.
