This is an empty vintage brass fire extinguisher made by the Fyr-Fyter Co. of Dayton, Ohio and it is the 1 qt. \"SUPER MODEL A\" model. It comes with it\'s original mounting bracket which has a new coat of black paint. This has been polished and lacquered for years of care free enjoyment. This has NO dents and NO dings, not bad for something this old. This is about 14\" long and 3\" in diameter. The patent dates on the label range from around 1915 to the late 1930\'s. The label retains most of it\'s original. The T handle moves on and out as designed. I will include a color copy of a vintage Fyr-Fyter ad for this extinguisher which shows the inner workings of the Model A. Extinguishers of this age were commonly installed on automobiles as engine compartment fires were common as a result of leaking gasoline and a spark from a plug wire. This is a very nice extinguisher and would make a great addition to a vintage car that needs that extra something at your next car show.
