VINTAGE BRASS MINIATURE SEFER TORAH
ARON HAKODESH ISRAEL 1950\'s
Description
This very special miniature brass Aron Kodesh (Torah Shrine) containing a printed, turnable Sefer Torah scroll was probably made in the late 1950s. The hinged door features beautiful filigree work with a Star of David (Magen David) in its middle, centered by a blue insert. At the bottom of the door is the inscription in hebrew \"We\'Sot HaTorah\", which means \"And this is the Torah\".
The Top of the Aron Kodesh features two Finials (Rimonim); the inside of the Shrine is laid out with red velvet like material.
The measurements are approximately L 4\" x W 2\" x H 6 1/2\". The material is cast brass and quite heavy.
This Miniature Aron Kodesh would look superb at home on display but also would make a great gift to someone in need of some \"Yiddishkeit\".
