VINTAGE CARVED ONYX/ SOAPSTONE SEA TURTLES FIGURINE MEXICO:

This is a really nice carving of two sea turtles swimming. I know some of it is onyx. Not sure of the whole statue. Though, it seems to be some form of stone. The sea plant may be made out of terra cotta? It measures approximately 5 1/2\" tall, approx. 4 3/4\" in length and 3 1/2\" wide. Maybe, you can tell by the pictures, what it is made of.
The man I bought it from, got it years ago in Mexico.
It is a really stunning piece! Great for all the sea turtle lovers out there. Check out the Loggerhead Marina on the east coast of Florida. I got to see two rehabilitated sea turtles, set free again, being cheered on , by the crowd of people that come to watch. It was very exciting to see.
