Description: A very interesting Chinese stone mask of a dragon,demon or ghost spirit, very detailed and elaborate.

I am not sure of the age; mid 20th c. but could bequite a bit older. Supposedly in the style of the Warring States Period (ZhanguoShidai; c. 481-475 – 221 BC).

The mask is very nicely framed for hanging in a dark brown shadowboxframe, with Ultrasuede backing.

Excellent condition; compressed dust in crevices, otherwise novisible damage or repairs.

Dimensions: ~ 100 x 85 x 24 mm (~ 4 x 3.3 x 1 in); weight ~ 260 g (~ 9.2 oz)

Purchased in 2013 from an antiques & collectibles dealer in GuangzhouProvince, Guangdong Sheng, China.
