This sale is for a vintage, collectible, heavy, Chinese export, carved nephrite jade, set in etched brass, three piece smoke set. This is an unusual piece. The cigarette case opens on either side to its own medium sized box although it is one piece. There is glass under the carving on both sides. The 2 separate ashtrays are for two individuals. The ashtrays have a glass cover which may be conveniently cleaned. The carving on the cigarette holders is of a large bird while the ashtrays have foliage carved. The etching on all three pieces is intricate and covers the three pieces well. At the bottom of the brass cigarette holder is stamped CHINA.

Please note: The cigarette holders are in good condition and both the carvings are held in their place and frame. However, there are 2 side hinges missing on the right hand cigarette holder but the jade is firm. On the left hand cigarette holder there is only one hinge (there are three missing) and the jade moves although it does not come out. We do not clean or repair items but sell as is. Please look at picture #3 for a better look at the hinges.

The length of the 2 sided cigarette holder is 5” X 3 1/8”.

Each ash tray measures 2 ¾” across.

All three heavy pieces measure over 500 grams or over 1 lb.
