THE LEO POLLOCK COMPANY of New York produced only very high quality products that survive the years well. An early company founded by Leo was known as
\"FRAN SHEL CORP.\"The box is identified by the big red aeroplane with Santa on it and the bright colors surrounding it. Incidentally, Clem-Co sported a red aeroplane on some of their boxes.

Later the box design changed to red and blue with a big set of bells in the middle, surrounded by white boarders and marked \"POLLY TREE LIGHTING SET\"
THIS SET comes from that style box. A BIT OF HISTORY FOR NOMA ENTHUSIAST\'S:
IN 1926 the NOMA Corporation (National Outfit Manufacturers Association) was founded by Prppp, USALIGHT, Woodwin/CD Wood Electric Company, Owned by Eugene Kukda (inventor and contributor of the \"berry bead\") and Deal Electric, and later, The Tinsel Corp(Starlight), Real Light, and other small companies. Morris Propp became President of the company.
Incidentally, the early noma advertising sign shows this design in the two light sets that embellish the emblem in the middle.IN THE EARLY spring of 1929, Noma\'s design developmental department came up with lots of new design ideas and ramped up manufacturing in hopes for a big season in sales. This \"inline\" set design was then born!(other companies did the same hoping for big sales as everything seamed like it was getting cranked up in the economy)
And then the stock market crashed!!! Everything went bust and the Depression \"hit\".
This set design was very costly to manufacture and sell as there was three times as much wire! That made them rare as folks just couldn\'t afford them.
Incidentally, the cheaper and \"loop\" style set became popular and dominated the market soon after 1930. It is common and many were built long after the \"Inline\" set regained popularity with the introduction of the in famed \"BUBBLE LIGHT\" in the 40s.(BULBS NOT INCLUDED)
