It is cotton (or maybea cotton blend) & has a bit of \"stiffness\" or \"sizing\" to it. It\'s sort of a elaborate circle design & is even prettier in person! It\'s new old stock NOS & will be taken from it\'s original bolt (not included). It\'s in perfect condition with no holes, rips or stains. It really doesn\'t have any odors ~ maybe just a tiny bit of \"shelf dust\"? It has so many uses, great for dolls & little girl\'s clothing! Also good for crafts & scrapbooking!
