Levi\'s \"Capital E\" 1966 501 XX JeansThese are from early 1990\'s pre LVC \"Capital E\" range.
In 1991 prior to launching the LVC range (in 1996) Levi\'s produced a very limited run of reproduction 1966 501 selvage jeans at their Valencia Street factory. Comes with BookletThe 1966 is the first 501 model with a more fitted cut it\'s less boxy in the seat than it\'s antifit predecessors. A standard rise, regular fitting jean which tapers from the knee to hem.While they have a Big E tab,detail wise they actually correspond more to an early 1970\'s 501 i.e double stitched rear pockets and no V stitch.From the booklet:
\"We\'ve dusted off our original narrow 28\" looms for the sole purpose of making our vintage blue jean. Notice the jean\'s rich texture and the slightly irregular weave. This \"slubbed\" 12.5 oz denim has great character and fades to a soft blue patina, the way it used to be.\"
